Join us Tuesday night, April 7, for another very special evening of Big Band jazz, featuring the music of Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald.
Two of the most influential figures in jazz history, these legendary stars were also dear friends. Their friendship spanned 50 years, and their collaborations produced some of the most iconic recordings in jazz.
Ellington was said to be “madly in love,” while Fitzgerald saw him as a mentor and father figure. Each revered the other as artists. This tribute will explore their relationship from their first meeting at the Savoy Ballroom, to their landmark 1957 album, “Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Ellington Songbook” and beyond.
Two Shows, 7:00 and 9:00. Doors open at 5:30. Come early for great seats and great food. General Admission $15, Student/Teacher $7 at the door or online.
Our last show at Dazzle sold out, so advanced tickets are strongly recommended.
