While growing up in Seattle, Todd wiled away many rainy afternoons on the piano and fell in love with music. Over the years he’s picked up a multitude of saxes, clarinets and trombones, in concert, jazz, and marching bands, as well as euphonium in the University of Washington wind ensemble. With the grunge era in full swing, Todd picked up electric bass, launching into years of rock, punk, funk, americana, blues, and jazz across the northwest. After moving to Colorado in 2007, he fell in love with the double bass and hasn’t been able to put it down. Currently Todd lays it down around the Front Range on electric and upright bass with the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, as well as various jazz and groove-focused incarnations of the Atom Collective.
